Envisioning the Titletown District
Project: Envisioning the Titletown District
Client: The Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin
Project Team: PORT and MAS Studio
Concept Study: Summer 2010
Location: Green Bay, Wisconsin
Size: 180 Acres
Lambeau Field, the historic home of the NFL’s Green Bay Packers, is an island within a sea of parking spaces approximately 350 days of the year. On Packers game-days however, Lambeau Field becomes the epicenter of one of the most revered fan experiences in all of sports.
The Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin, a frequent collaborator with the Packers, asked our project team to create a concept study for the potential future development of the area around Lambeau Field in order to share and further develop the proposal with the Green Bay Packers.
Our concept study frames Lambeau field as a catalyst and centerpiece for an entire civic district. The proposal envisions a vibrant district surrounding Lambeau Field that is socially, economically and environmentally sustainable. It endeavors to build upon the extraordinary passion, tradition and atmosphere associated with Lambeau Field and the Green Bay Packers to create a new "Titletown District" that is an active part of Green Bay all 365 days of the year.
