Brandon Biederman is a Senior Associate at PORT and has been integral to the development of many of PORT’s public realm projects, including the Cleveland Main Avenue Bridge Underpass, Lakeview Low-Line, Paco Sanchez Park, and Knoxville Battlefield Loop. Prior to joining PORT, he was a designer at Perkins + Will in Chicago and worked on numerous large scale projects, including the Chicago Spire, the Princess Nora University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and several proposals for campus master plans in the Middle East and China. He also was a vital team member for Team X in producing a proposal for the Pierscape at Navy Pier. Brandon was formerly an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and has also been faculty at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he has taught graduate level architecture.
Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and both a Master of Architecture and Master of Art in Design Criticism from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was also managing editor of Fresh Meat, an award winning architectural journal founded and run by graduate students at UIC.
